January 2, 2024: Nakake-Cho(In front of Pachinko Salon)
On the afternoon of the first day of the Sendai New Year Sale, many people passed through the street near a Pachinko Salon on Nakake Street. Both two pachinko salons around the recording point opened, but not many people went out of the salons.

January 2, 2024: Nakake-Cho (In front of Mihara-Do)
This soundscape was recorded in front of Mihara-Do in the second block of the central street from the station. Since no shop of which clerks called out was around the recording spot, the calling out from shops located a little bit far from here could be heard clearly. A pachinko salon near this recording point opened, but few people went in or out of the salon.

January 2, 2024: CLIS road (in front of AEON shopping center)
Also, many people coming to the Sendai New Year Sale passed through in front of the EON shopping center. Shop clerks of AEON were calling out in loud voices, but those of a grocery were calling out in louder voices. The sound of a bell ringing by the grocery was impressive, the same as last year.

January 2, 2024: In front of Fujisaki Department store
So many people passed around in front of Fujisaki Department store, too. The soundscape was recorded about 10 minutes before a live concert of a Shamisen (Japanese traditional string instrument) player at the temporary stage in front of Fujisaki; therefore, many of them came around the stage. The percussive sounds heard sometimes in this recording were those by which one of the young people sitting on the ground in front of the department store hit the ground with an empty pet bottle of a drink.
