Memorandum
The season of the cicadas has come to Kotori no Mori. The songs of the cicadas were so heavy. I think the name of the forest must be changed to "Forest for Cicadas", in this season.
A wisteria trellis near the entrance of the forest were rebuilt.
According to a male ranger, since decontamination work in the forest has finished, the numbers of visitors has been increased: roughly speaking, the numbers of visitors in recent months were about 70 % compared to that before the quake. In fact, although I did not meet a visitor in the forest, I saw a woman who finished walking in the forest, at the road from parking area to the nature center.
Acording to the ranger, no remarkable change of the ecosystem of the forest was observed. Only major change of the forest he found was that he can hear few children voices in the forest.
The monitoring post showed that the radiation level at the parking area was 0.154μSv/h. Acording to the ranger, the radiation level in the forest was 0.2-0.4μSv/h at the area where decontamination was finished, and almost 0.6μSv/h at the area where decontamination has not done.
