August 27, 2021: Sendai Station West Concourse (in front of the center gate)
On the day when the state of emergency was declared to Miyagi prefecture (including Sendai city), the number of people passing through the main concourse of Sendai Station was about as same as just one week ago when the stronger measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus started on Sendai city: one of the reasons may be that the operation time and the ban on the sale of alcohol of bars and restaurants unchanged.



August 27, 2021: Sendai Station East and West Free Pass
Also, the number of people passing through the East and West Freepass was about as same as just one week ago. However, almost all benches were occupied. The bench which I used as the fixed recording point was used by a group of young men drinking alcohol, and therefore this soundscape was recorded at a bench west of the bench which I always sat on to record. As far as I found, at least another group of people was drinking alcohol at another bench, and several couples was drinking soft drinks while they were talking.
