Division of Human Support System

The Division of Human Support System is aimed to develop science which can support human life in safety, security and comfort through a comprehensive understanding of man. The Division consists of three research groups:

1. (1)Human science which, based upon physiology or psychology of man and animals, intends to understand how man feels, thinks and performs.
2. (2)Mechatronics which, by combining information science, electronics, mechanical engineering, material science or physics, etc., develops the systems, elements or devices for the support of human life.
3. (3)Computer Science which, by applying software technology, soft computing, graph theory or fuzzy theory, etc., designs interfaces or software, or builds up information network systems to ensure a more comfortable human life.

These three groups are not strictly segregated, but are mutually connected and have active collaboration with each other.
